Chandigarh-Manali NH-3 & Hindustan Tibet NH-5 & Shimla- Kangra NH-88 disrupted by landslides in Himachal

The Vehicular traffic remained paralyzed in Kinnuar, Shimla and Mandi district on Wednesday due to three major landslides that occurred in the last 24 hrs due to recent heavy monsoon rain, Himachal government officials confirmed.
State Emergency Operation Centre spokesperson Sudehs Mokta said that a massive landslide occurred around 1750 hrs on Wednesday near Aut Shani Mandir due to which NH 21 road has been blocked. 
He said that NHAI Officer Shri Narendra Kumar (82198-66465) has been informed about the landslide efforts are on to open the highway by the Police and NHAI team is already on the spot. Long queue of vehicles are on the both side of Chandigarh -Manali highway waiting to open the road. 
In a massive rock slide occurred near Chaura in Kinnuar district last midnight blocking the vehicular traffic between Reckoong Peo and Jeuori near the gateway of Kinnaur. Long queue of vehicles are waiting to open the Hindustan Tibet highway between Rampur and Bhavanagar. Restoration work is under process.
A massive Retaining wall or RCC block of  National Law University Ghandal came down on the Shimla- Dharmshala National Highway -88.  The vehicular traffic wad disrupted as it between Shimla-Mandi and Shimla -Dharmshala route. Buses are being plying on the alternate local road from via Kalihati – Kohbag link road. The vehicular traffic could not restored till Wednesday.
Shimla-Airport- Nalalgarh state highway is blocked near Sayri in Solan district since last one week forcing the administration to run traffic on Chanog-Satdol link alternate road. Due to recent heavy rain entire road at Sayri Market cave in due to illegal mining by a person. The Public Works Department was now building a massive retaining wall to connect that 40 meter long portion. 
Number of link roads , cowsheds and houses have been damaged due to monsoon rain and landslides increasing the accumulated loss to tunes of Rs 1020 Cr to public and private property.
