Chalog’s Sheela Dutt’s house is in danger due to heavy rain
Peeran Panchayat of Kusumpti Assembly constituency is also not untouched by the deluge of water in the state. In most of the wards of this Panchayat, due to landslides happening around people’s houses, there is a danger of houses collapsing. The two-room residential house of Sheela Dutt, son of late Jeetram, in village Chalog of ward Dayothi of this Panchayat has come under threat. Sheela Dutt told that she belongs to a farmer family and is living by doing land work etc. She told that two years ago, she had built a two-room concrete house with every penny saved with hard work, but on August 14, a landslide occurred right in front of the house. Now due to continuous rain, this landslide is increasing, due to which there is a danger of the house collapsing. With the help of the people around, an attempt has been made to cover the landslide area with tarpaulin so that it can be protected from rain and there is no leakage of water. Sheela Dutt told that till now she has not received any kind of help. The local Panchayat representative and Pradhan have also been informed about this. Apart from this, a landslide has occurred near the house of Hira Singh son of Rikhi Ram of Mandhar village, this family has been advised to stay at a safe place. Thund Nala adjoining Peeran Panchayat is also in spate, due to which the road gets blocked repeatedly. Apart from this, the land adjoining many houses in villages like Satlai, Tri, Peeran, Dhali Bagda etc. is cracking, due to which there is an atmosphere of panic among the people. At the same time, the Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Peeran, Kiran Sharma, said that wherever there is damage due to landslide in the Panchayat, the higher officials are being informed after taking stock of the situation.
