Celebration of the 9th Indian International Science Festival at CSIR-IHBT
Indian International Science Festival aims to inspire curiosity and create a “prosperous India”. To promote creativity in science, technology, and innovation for the advancement of technology. It is noteworthy that the 9th IISF 2023 is being organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, By the Ministry of Earth Sciences, in collaboration with Vigyan Bharati from 17-20 January 2024 being conducted in Faridabad and the theme of the present edition is “Science andTechnology is Public Relations”.
The chief guest of the ceremony Prof. Shashi Kumar Dhiman, Vice Chancellor, Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur (HP) highlights the role and objectives of IISF 2023. In his speech, he said that science will be included in the new education policy in Amritkal India. And technology has been deployed on a wide scale, paving the way for self-reliant India. He stressed the need to impart practical knowledge to students in their mother tongue. So that science can be understood easily. At the same time, he made science accessible to the common people. He also stressed the need to integrate and promote a scientific approach. He inspired the students towards science with many examples.
Dr. Sudesh Kumar Yadav, Director of the Institute, in his welcome address, highlighted the research and talked about development achievements. He spoke about the social, industrial, and environmental benefits of research. Dr. Yaday spoke about bio-economy through the sustainable use of Himalayan bio-resources and highlighted the efforts being made by the Institute on developing technologies . He highlighted various projects and programs of the institute for popular science dissemination.

On this occasion, Government Senior Secondary School, Kachiyari, and Newgal Pattik About 100 students and their teachers from the School, Bhavarna participated in the activities of the institute.
