Cancer patients will now get chemotherapy facility in Regional Hospital Kullu
A Public Health Committee training session was organized at Regional Hospital Kullu under the chairmanship of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nagraj Pawar. This two-day training program includes medical officers, supervisors, community health officers, block program managers, and other health section personnel from across the district.
At the district level, the training is being conducted by District Program Officer Dr. Usha Sharma, Dr. Vikas, and Asha Coordinator Jeevan. These trainers will then provide Jan Health Committee training in their respective health sections. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nagraj Pawar stated that the goal is to complete the training for everyone by September 30, with the primary aim of improving community-level health quality.
Additionally, Dr. Pawar announced that the regional hospital now offers chemotherapy for cancer patients. This service is provided by Dr. Rima Ghai in room no. 108, who has received specialized training. Patients suffering from cancer can now receive chemotherapy at the regional hospital, eliminating the need to travel to distant hospitals.
