Calf of barking deer rescue chase by feral dog 

Showing a rare gesture for sake of wildlife a local residents of Kajevada village of Junga saved a calf of barking deer while it was being chased by feral dogs in the village pasture land. Durga Singh Thakur resident of Junga has set an example of humanity by rescuing a two-month-old child of a wild deer i.e. Kakkar from the dogs.  Durga Singh Thakur of  told that he was grazing cattle in the Khil-Kajewda forest near his house when suddenly he saw some feral dogs chasing female deer and its fawn. With great effort, the life of Kakkar’s calf was saved infront of dogs.  Durga Singh brought fawn to Junga Animal Hospital where it was given first aid. Durga Singh contacted the Wildlife rescue centre Tutikandi and Ishwari Singh, the forestguard of the Wildlife Department, was handed over calf.  According to the forest guard, Kakkar is taking health benefits in rescue centre and would get well soon.
