Buses should be immediately restored on the old Junga route

After the fight with the bus driver and conductor in Junga on Holi, HRTC Shimla stopped all the buses going to Old Junga, due to which there is deep anger among the people in the Junga area towards HRTC. Many intellectuals including Pankaj Sen of Junga, former BDC member Seema Sen, Kamal Sharma, Ramlal, Rakesh Verma, Tarun Verma, and Manoj Verma said in a joint statement that this decision of HRTC is completely anti-people which will harm the area, especially senior citizens, patients and children. He said that for the last several years, five buses have been running on this route and it is not logical to stop them because of a few mischievous elements. Pankaj Sen termed the statement of RM HRTC Shimla as irrational and said that the local Panchayat head and MLA do not have any administrative powers with which they can provide security to the driver.
