Buddhist & Medical tourism to get a boost from the Union Budget

The budget for the financial year 2025-26 is the foundation of PM Modi’s developed India. We have attracted the world’s attention towards India in the last 10 years, PM Modi’s focus is on Gyan (G.Y.A.N.) i.e. poor, youth, farmers and women power. Along with this, our focus is on health, construction and Make in India, employment and innovation. We are also working on agriculture and export, our aim is to build a developed India. We will give impetus to the economy under the leadership of PM Modi. Nanda said that this budget is dedicated to increasing the development of the government, development of all, increasing the capacity of the middle class. We are going to complete 25 years of this century. Our expectations of a developed India have inspired us.

Nanda said that if we talk about Himachal, the Union Budget is going to provide relief to a large section. Especially under the new tax system, there will be relief of Rs 80 thousand per year due to no income tax on annual income up to Rs 12 lakh. This decision will provide relief to employees and pensioners along with small traders and businessmen. Apart from this, about 9.97 lakh farmer families will get benefit due to increase in Kisan Credit Card limit. The happy news for the state government in the Union Budget is that for economic reforms, it has been said to give interest-free loan to the state for 50 years. For this, there is a proposal to allocate Rs 1.5 lakh crore, in which Himachal Pradesh will also have a share. The state will also get a big benefit by extending the Jal Jeevan Mission till 2028. The budgetary outlay has been increased to Rs 67 crore. The decision to reduce and rationalise the number of TDS rates and limits is also going to provide relief to the state.

The limit of interest deduction for senior citizens is being increased 2 times from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 1 lakh.

The annual limit for TDS on rent has been increased from Rs 2.40 lakh to Rs 6 lakh.

Buddhist tourism will get a boost, medical tourism can also give a boost

Karan Nanda said that the Central Government’s announcement to focus on Buddhist tourism can promote tourism in Dharamshala, Kullu, Manali, Lahaul-Spiti. Medical tourism can be promoted in Himachal due to the clean and peaceful environment. Medical tourism will also boost the tourism industry when infrastructure is developed in Himachal. Himachal can benefit from the announcement to develop 50 top tourist destinations in the country. If the main tourist destinations of Himachal are developed under this scheme of the Central Government, then Himachal’s tourism will definitely benefit. This will also open doors of employment in the tourism sector for the youth.

The central government’s announcement in the budget to promote homestays through Mudra loans can help unemployed youth in Himachal to start homestays. Now the number of schools with Atal Tinkering Labs in the state will increase. Also, broadband connectivity will be started in secondary schools. Such a provision has been made in the budget. In the Center’s budget for the year 2025-26, there is an announcement to set up 50 thousand Atal Tinkering Labs in government schools in 5 years. In such a situation, now the number of these labs will increase in Himachal as well. At present, more than 200 schools in the state have the facility of Atal Tinkering Lab.

BJP media in-charge Nanda said that seats in medical colleges will increase, medicines will become cheaper with the opening of cancer day-care centres. It has been said in the budget that seats in medical colleges will be increased. That means 75 thousand seats will be added in the next 5 years and 10 thousand additional seats will be added in the next year. This will also increase the seats in medical colleges of the state. It has been said that day-care cancer centres will be established at the district level. Besides this, 36 life-saving medicines and drugs have been completely exempted from basic customs duty. Along with this, 5% concessional customs duty will be levied on 6 life-saving medicines. It has been proposed to include 37 other medicines along with 13 new patient assistance programmes in the budget.
