BJP-supported BDC member Manjeet joins Congress

BJP-backed BDC member Manjeet Kumar from Jaladi-Chiliyan Ward No. 8 of Nadaun block joined the Congress party on Thursday. Expressing faith in the policies of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and the work done during the 15-month tenure of the government, he said goodbye to BJP. The Chief Minister made Manjeet join the Congress party by giving him a necklace. Manjeet had won the last election by 367 votes. Manjeet, a resident of Jaladi Saunkhalayan, was feeling suffocated in BJP for a long time. He continued to work as a loyal worker in the party, but he did not get due respect.

Jaladi chief Jagmohan Dogra Mani and former Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Amit Sharma were present at the time of Manjeet’s inclusion in the Congress party.

Manjeet assured the Chief Minister that he would work with full dedication in the Congress Party. Whatever responsibility will be assigned to him as a BDC member, he will fulfill it very well.

The state government is doing excellent work in the public interest. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Manjeet, who came to Congress from BJP, will get due respect. He should take the work of the government to the people and play an important role in the development of his ward. The Congress government is working to provide the benefits of government schemes to the last person.
