BJP seeks high-level inquiry into the brutal killing of the youth of Bhandal Panchayat of Chamba

Bharatiya Janata Party expresses deep sorrow over the brutal killing of the youth of Bhandal Panchayat of Chamba district. In this regard, the State Chief Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party and MLA from Shri Naina Devi Randhir Sharma has strongly condemned the wavering attitude of the government in this sensational matter.

He said that Manohar Lal, a youth of Bhandal panchayat in Chamba district, was missing from home since June 6 and his body was found in a mutilated condition on June 9 among stones in a drain. He was murdered so brutally that his body was cut into 8 different pieces. On seeing the photo coming in social media, the viewers get goosebumps.

He said that the brutality with which 25-year-old Manohar Lal was murdered shows that the criminals have no fear of law and administration. The non-receipt of the dead body for three days raises a question mark on the functioning of the police.

Mr. Sharma said that the government’s being a mute spectator to this inhuman incident raises many questions. Even after the dead body was found, 5 days have passed, let alone the Chief Minister, not even any minister of the government has come to express condolences to the family, which shows the insensitivity of the government.

He said that the accused arrested in this incident belong to a particular community, due to which there is social tension in that area and there is a possibility of communal violence happening. The Bharatiya Janata Party appeals to the public to maintain restraint and calm in such times.

Randhir Sharma has demanded from the government that strict legal action should be taken against the culprits of this incident so that such incidents do not recur in the future and appropriate steps should be taken to maintain peace and harmony in the area.

He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party proves the demand of the government to investigate this issue by a high-level committee, we hope that this government will seriously examine this issue.
