BJP reached from 25 to 28, the number in the assembly is big: Kashyap
BJP former state president and MP said that in December 2022 or say January 2023, the Congress government was formed in Himachal Pradesh. At that time, the Congress party had 40 assembly members and 3 local assembly members. Their total number was 43 members. In front of the large number of Congress, only 25 BJP members became MLAs. The people of Himachal had great expectations from the Congress government and Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu because before forming the government, big announcements and guarantees were given. He said that in the elections held in Himachal, the BJP got a big victory in the Lok Sabha elections and also won 3 assemblies in the by-elections. With this, the strength of BJP has increased to 28 and the strong Congress has come to stand at 40.
Kashyap said that as soon as the government was formed, the dreams of the people started breaking from 2023 itself. The first statement came from the Chief Minister that the treasury of the state government is empty. Then what happened was that January, February, March 2023 – were spent in the debate that the treasury is empty, why and how. BJP, being the main opposition party, started becoming aggressive on the government. How did the treasury of the government which had everything to serve the people till December 2022 become empty as soon as the Congress government came to power? This is a big question that has come up on the government. Till now, sugar has taken a loan of more than 25000 crores and that loan has been swallowed like ghee. It is not understood till date where the money came and where it went.
He said that the next hoax of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri was that the previous BJP government of Jairam had put a debt of Rs 70,000 crore on the state government, this issue started spreading like wildfire. BJP, playing its role, made people aware that out of the debt of Rs 70,000 crore, the previous Congress government, late Virbhadra government, had left a debt of Rs 52,000 crore in 2017 and also left liabilities of Rs 12,000 crore. The public was misled by the government on this issue too.
