BJP nonroyal contestant, made electoral  battle triangular

Ruling BJP trying non royal contestent from Kasumpti Assembly Constituency of Shimla as party put Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj in the fray, expecting to toppled Congress bastion.This is a reference about Kasumpti constituency that often swords are drawn between Koti and Junga royal family members. In the Election heavyweight Suresh Bhardwaj of BJP, a diligent Anirudh Singh of Congress and pro-farmer Dr Tanwar are locked in triangular contest.  Pratibha Singh’s father also belonged to Koti royal dynasty  This time, the Congress party candidate on its own strength are canvassing for a victory for the third time. At the same time, BJP candidate Suresh Bhardwaj is trying luck on new ground. The contest, in previous polls remained in favour of Koti royalty, for an unexpected change or an experiment, BJP relying on non-Junga royal scion in the combat. Constituents have different issues in the polls, Farmers is affected by the Lumpy disease, water  and road crisis in rural areas and one time settlement of houses in the merged area of 14 wards. Three tourist destination including Kufri,Shailonbagh and Mashobra have lobby of hoteliers and poney riders.  Congress have strong holds in Mashobra and Koti as Anirudh Singh is scion of Koti royal dynasty however  CPM candidate Dr Kuldeep Singh Tanwar is also scion of same dynasty control Koti and Mashobra but BJP did not relied upon Junga royal princily estate candidate Joytivijay Sen who defeated twice. BJP doing an experiment to field outsiders to penitrate in Koti votebank beside having strong hold in Junga votebank normally polled previously in favour of BJP. Political commentators tell us that Bhardwaj, who has been ousted from his parent constituency Shimla has been more or less pushed for political exile. There is also antiincombency againsit Congress candidate in Kasumpti this time.Union Minister Amit Shah has been hold a public meeting at Dhali and BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda at Kasumpti town.  Cong like BJP is not fully unitted in Kasumpti, Anirudh Singh and Pratibha Singh are not on same page. Party vice president Harash Mahajan joined BJP may dent Anirudh Singh.This time Singh are canvassing without major support from party state star campaigner.  At the same time, BJP candidate Suresh Bhardwaj is trying luck on new ground. Meanwhile, Dr Kuldeep Tanwar, who is in the fray for the second time, is once again banking for victory based on credentials of spearheading most farmer movements from the area.   BJP worker Ajay Sharma said that they are trying to stop the supply of liquor and drugs to allure voters. Campaign BJP and CPI(M) are mainly focusing burning soical and criminal issue of illicit liquor and synthetic drugs. However they are targeting over Congress party’s silence Soical mence harming youth at large. Anirudh started his career as a Zila Parishad member and belonged to the royal dynasty of Koti tehsil. Anirudh Singh recently use under BJP pressure to join it. Bhardwaj of BJP has remained a three-time MLA and one-time MP from Shimla urban, also remained a powerful minister in the current State government.  However, before these polls, never has he taken any interest in the politics of this constituency..Meanwhile, Dr Kuldeep Tanwar, who is in the fray for the second time, is once again banking for victory based on credentials of spearheading most farmer movements from the area.Dr Tanwar is IFS officer, he was also called father of state literacy mission. He fought number of successfull peasent movement of againsit their exploitation by middleman in fruit and vegitable markets. During Covid pandemic he remained among people and distributed Covid kits. During Outbreak of Lumpy Skin Disease only Dr Tanwar travelled from one village to others on foot to meet affected farmers. Dr Tanwar, who resaigned from Indian forest services, stepped into public life to serve and take forward farmer issues of the State. He has been chosen as a leftist candidate from this mostly rural constituency. However, his previous two tourneys in polls haven’t been heartening as he could not secure many votes and remained at the number 3 spot.

A resident of village in Junga tehsil, Om Prakash, said that this time the victory margin for Anirudh may increase against  outsiders Bhardwaj. Sympathizers of Dr Tanwar, a Ramesh, from Dublu inform that though the CPM candidate has remained active spearheadig farmer issues. Moreover, masses here definitely take into account the royal presence, he added.BJP supporters, however, state that Anirudh should be ousted as he has been given the opportunity three three consecutively. Moreover, he has not done enough for the area, which still remains primitive given the proximity to the capital Shimla.In 2017 Congress got 53.52 pc votes, BJP 30.72 pc and CPI(M) 10.40 pc. The Constituency falls is 14 wards of Shimla MC and 36 Panchayat of Mashobra, Junga and Theog Subdivision. There is  mixed baggage of constituents comprise of urban, migrant workers and rural areas. Constituency spread in periphery of Shimla town touch Sadupul of Solan district, Chail of Solan, Theog and Sunni of Mandi district and Dhami of Shimla Gramin. There are as many as 66915 Voter in the state including,34440 male and 32278 female and two others.
