BJP leaders stunned by the immense public support received by Rahul Gandhi: Awasthi

Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee’s working president Sanjay Awasthi has said that BJP leaders have become nervous after the immense support received from the public for the visit of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that Rahul Gandhi has campaigned for the Congress party in Nahan and Una, and his rallies have attracted huge turnouts. He said that Rahul’s arrival in Himachal Pradesh has infused a new energy among the Congress workers and now they are ready to fight the money power with double the enthusiasm.

Sanjay Awasthi said that BJP leaders are doing negative politics. He did not stand with the affected families of Himachal Pradesh during the disaster. BJP leaders are doing low level politics to stop women’s pension of Rs 1500. Additionally, the BJP has made an unsuccessful attempt to topple the democratically elected government through horse-trading. He said that the people of Himachal Pradesh are seeing the anti-state face of BJP and are ready to teach BJP a lesson on June 1.

Working President of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee said that the Congress Party is going among the public about the work done during its tenure of 1.25 years. He said that the Congress government gave OPC, Rs 1500 to women, gave a special economic package of Rs 4500 crore to rehabilitate the families affected by the disaster. Along with this, the daily wage of MNREGA was increased by a historic Rs 60 to Rs 300. Made schemes for widows, elderly, orphan children. Along with giving minimum support to milk, the support price of apple and mango was increased by Rs 1.50. He said that the Congress government ensured that apples are sold under the kilogram system and universal carton is going to be implemented from this season. He said that the people of the state will see the achievements of the Congress government in the last 1.25 years and the Congress will win all the four Lok Sabha seats and all the six assembly by-elections.
