BJP leaders should not mislead the public, tell how 25 MLAs will form the government: Dharmani
Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani has said that BJP leaders are making irrational statements to mislead the people of the state. Congress Party has 34 MLAs while BJP has 25 MLAs in the Assembly, despite this the leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party are claiming to form the government to confuse. He said that BJP leaders should clarify how the Bharatiya Janata Party can form the government in Himachal Pradesh with 25 MLAs. Which numerical mathematics is this? He said that despite six seats being vacant in the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly, the Congress has 34 MLAs. The state government has absolute majority and the Congress government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will complete its five-year term.
The Technical Education Minister said that by-elections are going to be held on six seats of Himachal Pradesh Assembly on June 1 and the Congress party will win all the six seats. Even by winning just 1 seat out of 6 by-elections, Congress party will get absolute majority, but BJP needs 10 seats for absolute majority. The people of Himachal Pradesh had blessed Congress by giving them full majority in the 2022 assembly elections and now by winning all 6 seats in favor of Congress in the by-elections, they have decided against the politics of horse-trading and are condemning those who sell their integrity and try to grab power through money power. By teaching a lesson, it will stop the politics of unrest in the state.
In 2022, the people of Himachal have given mandate in favor of Congress for 5 years, which BJP has unsuccessfully tried to grab with money power, which is an insult to the people. In democracy, it will not be money power but people power will ultimately win. BJP can buy sellable MLAs with money power, but not the 9 lakh voters of their assembly constituency. The Congress Party has full faith in the voters of these areas that by giving its verdict it will forever teach a lesson to those greedy for power who are trying to grab power through horse trading and unethical means.
He said that the by-election is the result of greed of BJP leaders. Unnecessary burden of by-elections has been put on the people of the state. In the greed for power, BJP made an unsuccessful attempt to topple the government, for which BJP leaders should apologize to the people of the state. He said that the rebel MLAs along with BJP leaders betrayed the Congress party and the public will teach them a lesson at any cost.
Rajesh Dharmani said that the voters of Himachal Pradesh had given the mandate to Congress to form the government and BJP to sit in the opposition in the Assembly elections-2022. But, BJP leaders are still not able to digest their defeat, hence they are trying to humiliate the mandate with money power.
The people of Himachal Pradesh are intelligent and do not like the politics of opportunism at all. The manner in which the six MLAs have displayed opportunistic politics is visible to the people of the state. He should tell the voters of his constituency as to why he is contesting elections on the election symbol of Bharatiya Janata Party in just one and a quarter year. The voters of the state will definitely teach them a lesson and make Congress candidates victorious on all six seats.
