BJP has tried to destabilize Himachal government by using money power and temptation: Jagat Singh Negi
Horticulture and Revenue Minister Jagat Singh has said that the investigation report of the FIR lodged in Baluganj police station has made it clear that the BJP has tried to destabilize the state government by using money power and temptation. Crores were spent on six Congress MLAs and three independent MLAs. They were brought and taken in helicopters. They were kept hostage for more than a month, which is completely a crime.
Addressing a press conference at the state Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan, Jagat Singh Negi said that former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, its president Rajiv Bindal and other BJP leaders disrupted the Rajya Sabha elections on February 27 by misbehaving with the polling agent of the Congress candidate. An attempt was made to break the gate of the assembly premises. Congress has complained about all this to the Election Commission, but the commission has not taken any action on it yet.
Jagat Negi said that the three independent MLAs are under heavy pressure and fear of the BJP. He said that they have not resigned voluntarily. He said that the Speaker of the Assembly is investigating it thoroughly and only after that will any decision be taken on it.
He said that BJP has affected the pace of development by imposing by-elections on the state. He said that in tribal areas where there is very little time for development work due to heavy snowfall, this work has completely stopped. He said that the people of the state will never forgive BJP as well as any leader who betrays the party.
Jagat Negi said that the double character of BJP has now been fully exposed in front of the people of the state. He said that BJP, which created a ruckus in the assembly about issuing guarantees of Congress, has exposed its anti-women face by stopping the issuance of guarantee of Rs 1500 to women. He said that the gift that the Congress government has given to the employees in its first cabinet by restoring OPS to the employees is historic.
Jagat Negi said that the Congress government is in full majority in the state. He said that after June 4, the state government will win four Lok Sabha and six assembly by-elections, after which Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s government will fulfill the aspirations of the people by fulfilling its remaining guarantees with even more strength.
