BJP govt in Centre has formed its govt by stealing votes and insulting democracy: Rajni Patil
Member of All India Congress Working Committee and Member of Parliament in-charge of State Affairs Rajni Patil has said that the BJP government in power at the Centre has formed its government by stealing votes and insulting democracy. She has said that to save the democracy of the country, everyone will have to strengthen the hands of Rahul Gandhi with unity. She said that Rahul Gandhi first did a successful Desh Jodo Yatra and now is on Adhikar Yatra in Bihar.
Today, while addressing the rally of Vote Chor, Kursi Chhod Abhiyan on the directions of All India Congress Committee at State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan, Rajni Patil said that BJP has formed its governments in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Haryana by stealing votes. She said that now BJP is trying to steal votes in Bihar. She said that under SIR, names of more than 65 lakh voters have been removed from the ballot papers in Bihar. She said that people have to be made aware about their voting. For this, she called for rallies against BJP in all the districts and blocks. She said that soon a signature campaign will be started in the state which will be submitted to the President of the country as a public opinion against BJP. She asked to include as many people as possible in it. Patil said that soon the executive committee of PCC, district and block will be declared in the state. She said that in the new executive committee of PCC, district and block, importance will be given to energetic and hardworking workers so that the activities of the party can run faster.
Earlier, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu accused the BJP of trying to steal the government not only at the Centre but also in the state. He said that the state had to face elections twice because of this. He said that by stealing votes in the Rajya Sabha elections, the BJP tried to destabilize the Congress government in the state and it could not succeed in it. He said that the Congress had 40 MLAs earlier and even after the by-elections, the number of 40 remains the same in the state. He said that the Congress is united and completely strong in the state and is standing strongly with Rahul Gandhi.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the Election Commission is working as a puppet of the BJP. He said that Rahul Gandhi is presenting the facts of vote theft before the country but the Election Commission is demanding an affidavit from him. He said that on one hand the Election Commission provides data to BJP leader Anurag Thakur for a press conference in a day, while on the other hand no information is being made available to Rahul Gandhi. He said that the Election Commission has double standards, one for the ruling party and the other for the opposition.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that in connivance with the Election Commission, votes of dead people are being cast and votes of living people are being cancelled. He said that the state stands in complete solidarity with Rahul Gandhi’s vote thief, leave the chair campaign and no conspiracy of BJP will succeed in the state.
Mukesh demanded from Rajni Patil to form the organization in the state soon and said that this matter has been pending for a long time and it should be declared soon.
State Congress President Pratibha Singh said that Rahul Gandhi has presented the facts of vote theft in Karnataka and Maharashtra before the country. Instead of investigating these facts, the Election Commission is demanding an affidavit from him. She said that an elected leader who is the Leader of the Opposition speaks with great responsibility. She said that the entire state stands with Rahul Gandhi.
Pratibha Singh said that soon Congress will hold rallies in the districts and blocks of the state against the vote theft by the BJP and will make the people aware of the conspiracies of the BJP.
