BJP government is weakening the country’s democracy and constitution : Rajendra Pal Gautam

 Dr. Rajendra Pal Gautam, National President of the All India Congress Scheduled Castes Department, has stated that department officials will be appointed through the organization creation program in the state. He added that party officials are being appointed across the country under the organization creation program, following the guidelines of the All India Congress Committee.
Speaking informally with reporters at the state Congress headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan, Rajendra Pal Gautam stated that the central BJP government is weakening the country’s democracy and constitution through dictatorship. He added that public welfare schemes are being undermined, with MNREGA being a recent example. He added that the central government is not providing the funds it is supposed to provide for most central schemes. Due to the poor financial situation of most states, they are unable to contribute their share, which is why most states are not receiving any benefits from central schemes. Congress-ruled states are being treated unfairly.
Gautam stated that the “Ji Ram Ji” scheme, introduced by the BJP government at the Centre to replace MNREGA, will prove to be a complete flop. He said that previously, under this scheme, development work was carried out by the village people through the Panchayat. It had legal validity. Now, by ending its validity, the Centre has taken complete control of any work. Now, the Centre will contribute 60 percent, while the states will have to contribute 40 percent. He added that due to the poor financial condition of the states, they will not be able to contribute their 40 percent, and the states will be deprived of this work.
