BJP cannot escape the crime of holding three by-elections: Sanjay Awasthi

Shimla Pradesh Congress Committee’s working president Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi has said that the BJP cannot escape the crime of holding three by-elections after six months in the state. The people of the state will never forgive the BJP for the insult it has done to public opinion by imposing nine assembly by-elections in the state. Congress’ victory in the three by-elections is certain. Congress will soon declare its candidates for these seats and enter the electoral fray.

Sanjay Awasthi said here today that the BJP will have to face defeat in these three by-elections as well. This by-election is a part of BJP’s conspiracy in which independent MLAs have lost their membership before time. This is probably a unique example in the history of the country when independent MLAs have resigned from the membership of the assembly under a conspiracy. He has said that these independents should not be anywhere because now it is not possible for these three to win again.

Awasthi has said that the people of the state neither accept defection nor money power. These three MLAs have got the result of the political conspiracy they hatched against the government along with the six Congress MLAs in alliance with the BJP. Four MLAs have faced defeat and now these three will also have to face defeat. These former MLAs will never be able to enter the Vidhan Sabha again.
