Bindal thanked PM Modi and said that he has been continuously supporting the people of Himachal
Dr. Rajiv Bindal, State President of BJP said that today is a day of pride for Himachal Pradesh when the country’s illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Himachal Pradesh to share the sorrows of the people suffering due to the terrible disaster in Himachal Pradesh and to heal their wounds.
Dr. Bindal said that Prime Minister Modi did an aerial survey of Chamba and other affected areas and after reaching the holy land of Kangra, he personally met the families affected by the disaster. Some families had come from Mandi, some from Kullu, some from Sainj and some from Chamba. Hearing their pain, Prime Minister’s eyes also got filled with tears. He assured those families that we along with the state government are standing with you in every kind of help. He said that this disaster in the state is not a separate problem of the state and the center but a joint problem of the center and the state.
Dr. Bindal told that after this a high level meeting was held and the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of the state gave a very long explanation about the disaster in Himachal, each point of which was heard by the Prime Minister very seriously and discussed. The words that the Prime Minister said after the discussion are very important for us, he said that Himachal is a second home for me. I am indebted to the people of Himachal, the public. I have gone to different areas of Himachal and taken food and water from people’s homes. I stand with the people of Himachal in this hour of disaster and he assured the Chief Minister that whatever issue will come before the Central Government in detail, we will provide every kind of help to the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Dr. Bindal said that many topics came up in the meeting. It was the issue of land, it was the issue of forest, it was the technical issue, it was the issue of national highway roads, it was the issue of building tunnels, he assured Himachal on every issue without any hesitation. The Prime Minister said that our survey teams had come to Himachal earlier also and have come today also and more teams will come in future, whatever kind of requirement will be there, the Center will help the state.
Dr. Bindal thanked the Prime Minister profusely and said that he has been continuously supporting the people of Himachal since 2023 and the state government is cooperating. He said that Home Minister Amit Bhai Shah and National President BJP Jagat Prakash Nadda have constantly advocated for Himachal Pradesh to the Prime Minister, due to which the state will get assistance worth thousands of crores of rupees. Today the Prime Minister assured all kinds of assistance and announced to give Rs 1500 crore as immediate relief.
Dr. Bindal said that this is probably the first time in the history of Himachal that the Prime Minister himself has come here during such a tragedy, he has shared the pain of the affected families and discussed the presentation given by the Chief Secretary and other officials and only after discussing each topic, he has announced to give Rs 1500 crore. We express our gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of the poor people of Himachal Pradesh, on behalf of the people and on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party for this generous help and also thank the central leadership very much
