Big Shuffle in Himachal Judiciary: Judges on the Move
The Himachal Pradesh High Court has announced a major reshuffle, transferring and reassigning 61 judicial officers across the state with immediate effect.
The notification, issued Tuesday evening, highlights several key changes:
- Anuja Sood moves from Presiding Officer, Labour Court-cum-Industrial Tribunal, Shimla, to District & Sessions Judge, Chamba.
- Preeti Thakur will now serve as Presiding Officer, Labour Court-cum-Industrial Tribunal, Shimla.
- Vikrant Kaundal, Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM, Kullu, is placed at the disposal of the State Government for a new role as Additional Secretary, H.P. State Legal Services Authority, Shimla.
- Manisha Goyal takes over his previous post in Kullu.
- Other transfers include Niranjan Singh to Lahaul & Spiti, Prashant Singh Negi to Solan, Vishal Kaundal to Barsar (Hamirpur), Shikha Lakhanpal to Una, Pratibha Negi to Shimla, Anita Sharma to Kangra, and Jitender Kumar to Amb.
This reshuffle is part of the High Court’s effort to streamline judicial functioning and ensure effective administration across districts.
