AYUSH Kisan Mela organised in Ser village of Rajgarh – Villagers availed free health services

 Ayush Kisan Mela was successfully organised in Ser village (Panchayat Ser Jagas) adjacent to Rajgarh. Organised under the Ayush Mission of the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, this fair was organised by the Rajgarh office of the Ayush Department. The fair was inaugurated by lighting a lamp by the Sub-Divisional Ayush Medical Officer, Dr Priyanka Sood. A large number of villagers participated in the fair and availed free health services. The main objective of the fair was to increase awareness about Ayurveda and Yoga in rural areas and to connect people with traditional medical systems.
During the fair, experienced Ayurvedic doctors organized a free medical camp, where people were screened and given appropriate advice. Diabetes and hemoglobin tests were conducted free of charge, providing valuable information about their health.
On this occasion, yoga experts also organized a yoga camp, in which attendees were given information about various yoga asanas, pranayama, and a healthy lifestyle. Yoga instructors explained that regular yoga practice can prevent many diseases and maintain a healthy body.
Free Ayurvedic medicines were also distributed to the people in the fair. Along with this, an exhibition of medicinal plants was organized, in which farmers and villagers were told in detail about the medicinal properties of these plants and the method of growing them at home and in the fields. Along with this, Dr. Kapil and Dr. Sanjeev gave detailed information to the people present in this fair about the identification of medicinal plants, their use and their commercial use. Many local medicinal species were also displayed in the exhibition. Along with this, medicinal plants were also distributed to the people who came to the fair.
The event saw strong participation from local farmers, women, and youth. Health experts advised villagers to adopt an Ayurvedic lifestyle, eat a balanced diet, and practice regular yoga. Agricultural experts from the Department of Agriculture provided detailed information about organic farming and explained how to prepare zero-water fertilisers at home.
Dr. Priyanka Sood, Sub-Divisional AYUSH Medical Officer, Rajgarh, said, “The AYUSH Kisan Mela aims to increase awareness about Ayurveda and Yoga in rural areas. Health checkups, diabetes and hemoglobin tests, and free Ayurvedic medicines were distributed at the fair. Additionally, an exhibition of medicinal plants provided information to farmers about their benefits and cultivation methods, so they could adopt them to improve both their health and income.”
