Auctioning of Technomac property: Excise Department takes action against encroachers 

State Excise and Taxation Department which was entrusted by the Himachal Pradesh High Court to auction the assets of Indian Technomac company took action against the encroachers who are occupying 125 bigh industrial plot of the firm.  

Mr. GD Thakur, Joint Commissioner, Taxation Department was appointed by the High Court for the auction of the premises. He informed that after taking stock of the company premises, CID and ED filed affidavits in the High Court regarding the assets of the Indian Technomac Company it was found that property belonging to the firm was illegally occupied by the encroachers. The Firms are booked for indulging in Rs 6000 Crore scams including borrowing from public sector banks, nonpayment of dues of Excise and Taxation department and electricity board.  

The Excise and Taxation Department swung into action after several people living nearby found the illegal occupation of land on 125 bigha industrial land of Indian Technomac Company located in Paonta Block.  No Excise and Taxation Department has applied for demarcation of land from the revenue department to take legal action against the encroachers.

 GD Thakur said that people have illegally occupied the developed plot of the company.  Legal action would be taken to get rid of encroachers before auction.  Thakur said that on June 27, the remaining property of the company would be going to auction. He said that the boundary wall of the developed industrial plot of 125 bigha has been fixed and sewerage and foundation have been made on the side of the road. 

 It is noteworthy that on the orders of the High Court, the Taxation Department is engaged in the auction process of the company’s premises to recover tax of Rs 21 crore from the Indian Technomake Company.
