Assailant of yesterday’s Mall Road murder case arrested at Hisar
An assailant absconding after the crime and murder of 21-year-old employees of Wake and Bake bakery from the Mall road was nabbed by the four teams of Shimla police at Hisar of Haryana last night.
According to a Senior cop of the district police Satender Pal Singh was allegedly absconding from Mall road after committing the crime of Murder of 21 yes old employees of Wake and Bake bakery nabbed from the house of the assailant in Hisar Haryana last night.
The accused was wanted after the murder and theft of Rs 50000 cash and four teams constituted by the Shimla Police successfully traced the trail of the absconding assailant and arrested them at his house early today.
The assailant left the 21-year-old Manish in a pool of blood on the Mall roads after attacking him with a chopping knife at 0200hrs on Monday morning in front of the Police control room.
In a dramatic turn of events the victims allegedly resisted the attempted theft of the accused when he was stealing cash from the cashbox or chaste bakery in the middle of the night about 100 meters from the police control room.
According to a preliminary investigation done on the circumstantial evidence at CCTV footage, the accused attacked the deceased before he died and also ran towards the police control room to seek police assistance and hit the door of the police control room with the same chopping knife used by the accused two wound him at three places.
The accused succeeded in running from the crime scene immediately before the police personnel posted in the control room seized over the matter.
A police jawan post on duty on Mall Road said that victims fell on the road indicating towards the crime scene about the absconding accused but they did not find any and the accused already slipped them narrowly.
The victim was rushed to IGMC Shimla first but he succumbed to injuries within half an hour due to loss of blood. A Postmortem of the deceased was done but family members of the deceased refused to take possession of the body and protested in front of the police control room in Shimla near the crime scene.
The family members of the deceased were not happy about the police’s delayed response in the mill as they said that the door of the police control room was locked from the inside and the response helped the accused to run away from the spot.
However, the SP Shimla said that police personnel responded immediately and made a futile attempt to save the life of the victim first.
Now the family members of the deceased are expected to take the body from the mortuary of IGMC today as they staged a Dharna at the police control room at 2200 hrs on Monday after having information of the arrest of the accused. All of them dispersed from the control room last night after confirmation of the arrest.
The accused is likely to be produced before Special Judges Shimla for seeking remand earlier to this he was likely to be brought at Sadar police station Shimla seeking his transit remand from Haryana.
