Are disaster relief, welfare of the people of the state and development of the state not the main issues: Rajinder Rana
Senior BJP spokesperson and former MLA Rajinder Rana said that the Chief Minister has already placed a financial burden on the state by appointing an army of cabinet-rank advisors to the Sukh government, which aims to change the system. Advisors for whom the anarchy, corruption, chaos, system collapse, and work contrary to development are not a major issue in the state, should be dismissed by the Chief Minister. Advisors with this mindset are also a major obstacle to the state’s development. Instead of advising the Chief Minister on development, the advisors of the government, which operates as a “Friends Welfare State” instead of a “Welfare State,” are advising the opposition not to raise issues of the state’s interests. Is giving a group of friends free rein to plunder the state’s resources the standard for state development?
The advisor, who has already burdened the state’s economy with crores of rupees, says that the Leader of the Opposition isn’t raising good issues. Is it wrong to demand the 5,500 crore rupees sent by the central government for disaster-affected people, to show concern for those left homeless in the winter, to demand rations for disaster-affected people, to demand jobs for its youth, to demand timely salaries for state employees, and to demand DA? Is it wrong for the opposition to talk about improving the state’s ailing health system, to repair the ruined medical system in hospitals, to demand the release of Himcare, Ayushman, Shagun, Sahara, and old-age pensions, all small issues? If they think so, then there’s something wrong with their thinking.
BJP leader Rajinder Rana said that is it a small issue to oppose the violation of the Constitution in the state, by stopping the Municipal Corporation elections, Municipal body elections, Gram Panchayat elections and snatching away the rights given to the people by the Constitution? Is it a small issue to stop the resources of the state from being usurped by the group of friends? Is it a small issue to oppose the government’s patronage to the drug trade, crime, mafia rule and drug addiction spreading in the state? Is it a small issue to talk about the state’s interest? Is it a small issue to demand accountability from the government and talk about fixing its accountability?
Instead of opposing the blatant lie of the state’s resources being plundered by allies under the protection of power, government advisors are telling the opposition that instead of exposing the government’s corruption and speaking for the public interest, they should raise bigger issues. The common man’s issues are the most important issues for the Bharatiya Janata Party. The former Chief Minister and the Leader of the Opposition are issues of every Himachali. It is our duty to raise the concerns of every Himachali, and we will continue to do so. Cabinet-rank advisors in the government should keep their and the government’s intentions clear and work to fulfill the false guarantees on which the Congress stole the state’s mandate.
