Another nature surprise, earthquake tremor jolts Chamba

After receiving 131 mm rainfall Chamba district was jolted by a light tremors early today, Indian Meteorological Department communication confirmed.

Tremors measured 2.8 on the Richter scale hit Chamba town of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday morning at 0104hrs. The local residents felt the shock but now the loss of property was reported by it.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a latitude of 32.65 degrees and a Longitude of 76.57 and five km deep of Chamba town.
