Anonymous letter, culprits won’t be spared: Sukhu

The issue of an anonymous letter issued against a senior official of the state government echoed in the Assembly on Friday.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the investigation into the letter is ongoing and the government will take strict action against those who are involved in it.

He said that this letter was written by some persons but couldn’t be ascertained so far. However, it has been uploaded from Janakraj’s office and a BJP worker has been found involved in it.

The Chief Minister said that it is wrong to tarnish the image of an officer under the guise of such an anonymous letter.

He said that if anyone has evidence of corruption against any officer, he could give an affidavit in Lokayukta and demand an investigation.

CM accused MLA Janakraj of using threatening language and said that if the MLA is innocent then nothing will happen to him. He said that the government would bring out the truth in this matter. Before this,

Dr. Janakraj said that a person was arrested from his assembly constituency in the letter bomb case and his arrest was shown after 24 hours.

He said that if he had the accurate information given in this letter, he would have made this matter an issue in the Assembly and not written an anonymous letter.

Dr. Janakraj said that his name has been unnecessarily dragged in this case. He also asked whether anyone would be arrested if he comments on the government’s work. Dr. Janakraj has also demanded an investigation from the state government into the allegations made in the letter.
