All three wards of the Zila Parishad should be kept as they are in Sangrah development block : Narayan Singh

A delegation from Vikaskhand Sangrah in Giripar area of Sirmaur district met the Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur under the leadership of former candidate Narayan Singh and filed objections on the creation of only two wards instead of three from Vikaskhand Sangrah for Zila Parishad. Narayan Singh told Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Verma that Giripar area of Sirmaur district is the most inaccessible and difficult situation and hence it is very difficult to implement development works here and the proposal to reduce three wards of Zila Parishad and create only two wards in Vikaskhand Sangrah is not logical. He said that creating only two Zila Parishad wards for 44 Panchayats spread in inaccessible areas of Vikaskhand Sangrah is a gross injustice to this area. He said that in plain Vikaskhands like Paonta and Nahan, wards of 8 and 10 Panchayats have been created whereas in Sangrah Vikaskhand, only two wards have been created for 23 and 21 Panchayats of inaccessible area due to which only two members will be elected from the area for Zila Parishad instead of three and that will affect the development process. On this occasion, former Chairman of Panchayat Samiti Sangrah Mela Ram Sharma, who was part of the delegation, told the Deputy Commissioner that there is a lot of anger among the people of the area due to the creation of only two Zila Parishad wards in 44 Panchayats of backward areas in Sangrah development block and for this reason, objections have been lodged before the District Magistrate as per the rules so that at least three wards should be created in 44 Panchayats to ensure the development of this area. Panchayat Samiti Nahan Chairman Anita Sharma, District BJP Media Co-incharge Pratap Rawat, Sangrah BJP Mandal President Balveer Thakur and senior BJP workers Som Prakash Sharma and Layak Ram Sharma were also present in the delegation. The Deputy Commissioner assured the delegation that a rational discussion will be held on this and keeping in mind the problems of the backward area, appropriate decision will be taken on the objections lodged.
