All India Congress Committee and Himachal Congress Organized Bharat Jodo Padyatra Sammelan in all district headquarters
On the call of the All India Congress Committee, today the State Congress Committee organized Bharat Jodo Padyatra Sammelan in all the district headquarters on the first anniversary of former National President Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. During this, party leaders, office bearers, and a large number of workers participated in this convention.
Addressing the conference, Pratibha Singh, referring to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, called upon the party to raise its voice against disruptive forces in the country. He said that Rahul Gandhi’s voice will have to be raised to awaken the people of the country against the way the BJP is trying to change the name of the country by tampering with the Constitution.
He said that Rahul Gandhi had started the Bharat Jodo Yatra in the country on September 7, 2022, last year on the issue of rising inflation, unemployment, promoting mutual brotherhood, divisive politics, and national security. During this, he did this padayatra for 130 days through 4080 kilometers, 12 states, 2 union territories, 75 districts, and 76 Lok Sabha constituencies of the country.
Criticizing the policies of the BJP government at the Centre, Pratibha Singh said that the country is passing through serious challenges today. Democracy is being murdered. The rights of constitutional institutions are being violated. Urging all the leaders of the party to unite and strengthen the hands of Rahul Gandhi, he said that the country has great expectations from the Congress, which they have to fulfill at any cost.
On this occasion, senior Congress leader, Health and Family Welfare Minister in the State Government, Colonel Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil said that the Congress party has its own history. The leaders of the Congress party have made sacrifices to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation. He said that democracy is in danger in the country today. People are being made to fight with each other in the name of religion, caste, and regionalism. In such times, the Bharat Jodo Yatra program has been a very commendable step. We all should come forward in such programs with great enthusiasm.
