 Air flight to Shimla now from Sept 26: Alliance airlines

State Capital town Shimla Airport would have regional air connectivity after a decade as Alliance airlines now decided to launch operate daily flights to Jubbarhati Airport with effect from September 26. Earlier the recommencement of this flight was scheduled on 6th September 2022 but due to bad weather condition the flight could not commence operations .  A spokesperson of AA said that under Indian government Regional connectivity scheme RCS launched by prime minister in 2015-15 under Uddan Scheme, with the vision of connecting far-flung area of India would now scheduled for September 26. Resident particularly hundreds of cab owners are still not certain with the move as Indian government is giving similar assurance for last five years and move likely to be launched again on the Assembly Election time. It is worthwhile to mention that on earlier to this AA also issued similar press release to  bring Shimla on the map of air connectivity after almost decades as Air India, Jackson Airlines have closed regular flight to Shimla since 2012. AA have suspended daily flights to Shimla on September 6, 2022  owing to inclement weather during the fading monsoon. However a claimed that air connectivity in North India by recommencing its maiden RCS route Delhi – Shimla – Delhi ,  would be effective from  September 26 now. This flight operate with new brand of aircraft ATR42-600 .  There are only window or aisle seats in Alliance Air and our aircrafts have super comfortable leg space with a seat pitch of 30 ” .  Flight (91821) would depart from Delhi at 0710 hrs and arrive in Shimla at 0820 hrs .  Flight (91 822) would depart from Shimla at 0850 hrs and arrive in Delhi at 1000 hrs .  The introductory all inclusive Fares for Delhi – Shimla and Shimla – Delhi would be INR 2141 / – . The endeavor to offer better air connectivity between Tier – two / Tier – three towns to their closest city hubs .  Keeping with this endeavor , Alliance Air expands would also  enhance connectivity will help bolster tourism and trade in the region and contribute to the economic development of the states.   Shimla is the capital and the largest city of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.  Shimla was built on top of seven hills : Inverarm Hill , Observatory Hill , Prospect Hill , Summer Hill , Bantony Hill , Elysium Hill and Jakhu Hill .  The highest point in Shimla is the Jakhu hill , which is at a height of 2,454 meters ( 8,051 ft ) .  In recent times the city has spread past the initial seven hills.
