Air filling plants at petrol pumps have become showpieces in Rajgarh
The facility of filling air in tyres is not available at any petrol pump operating in Rajgarh tehsil. The air filling machines installed at petrol pumps have become showpieces. Due to which vehicle owners are forced to pay Rs 20 to get the air in the tyres checked.
Let us tell you that at present four petrol pumps are working under Rajgarh tehsil, out of which one is in Yashwantnagar, Sanaura, Rajgarh and Shargaon. As per the standards set by the Indian Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, it is mandatory for every owner to provide first aid kit, free water, toilet and air filling facility to every vehicle owner at the petrol pump. It is also necessary to install RO for clean water. Let us tell you that all petrol pumps have been kept as a formality. The tyre filling plants installed at petrol pumps in Rajgarh area have become showpieces for the past many years. On talking to many vehicle owners, it was told that on checking the air in the tyre at the petrol pump, the only answer received is that the air filling machine is not working, due to which vehicle owners get disappointed and have to get the air checked by paying money in a private workshop. The question arises that do the officials of IOC and Hindustan Petroleum never inspect this matter. Recently a new petrol pump has opened in Shargaon but the air filling machine has not been installed at the new petrol pump either. RO for clean water has not been installed at any petrol pump.
Indian Oil Corporation Solan field officer Brijmohan told that IOC has only two petrol pumps located in Sanaura and Shargaon. If air filling facility is not available at these petrol pumps, then an investigation will be conducted in this regard.
