AICC appoints Sanjay Awasthi and Chandershakhair as working President of HPCC

All India Congress Committee today appointed two working presidents of the Himachal Pradesh Congress committee as members of the assembly from Arki and a Member of the assembly from Dharmpur Mandi was shortlisted for this auxiliary post in the party state executive.

A press release issued by the AICC general secretary K C  Venugopal said that Mr Sanjay Awasthi who is Chief Parliamentary Secretary and member of assembly from Arki of Solan district and Mr Chandershakhair only Congress members of assembly from Mandi district are elected as party working President.

Both posts have been lying vacant after the resignation of Harsh Mahajan in 2022 and Rajinder Rana from this post recently. Both the leaders now joined the BJP. 

The announcement of the appointment was made on Wednesday when the party-state coordination committee meeting was being held today.
