Agencies in deep slumber : Sikh pilgrims created multiple scuffles & violence in Himachal

Himachal Pradesh known for absolute peace and serene for centuries witnessing nasty incidence of scuffles and violence by religious organization who are posing challenge to traffic, civic and law and orders more over state and central agencies caught in slumbers. It was after week of meeting between Punjab and Haryana Director General of police that it would deal with Tablagi Jamat and religious pilgrims with coordination. Three incidents unfolded in the state including Manikaran in Kullu district, Kasol and Dharmshala in Kangra district but state agencies are responding mildly to deal with lawbreakers. The state which never similar incidents earlier was being brushed aside by the state government and Police mere sporadic incidents terming them mutual rivellery. Number of pilgrims bearing Sikh religious flags and donning turban created ruckus near Manikaran last night pelting stones and smashing windowpane of parked vehicles. Similar groups who are waging religious pilgrimages in state could be seen in number of places including Kasol and at Meclodganj near Dharmshala after last night fueling law and order problem in the state. Police responded mildly over sensitive issue by terming the clashes crime.

Issuing statement on these incident Director General of police said that regarding Manikaran incident of last night and early morning State spokesperson warned People  “Do not fall prey to fake news and rumor mongering”. The DGP- HP Sanjay Kundu has spoken to DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav. All tourists and pilgrims are welcome to Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Police assures of hassle-free visits to all tourists and pilgrims, spokesperson said. Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that two states are in touch with each other and clashes occurred between two groups. He said that there is no challenge to communal harmony and state law and order is under control. There are unconfirmed reports that tension also seen on the Kiratpur border after these Kullu  incidents. Unable to avert the incident SP Sakshi Verma and DIG Central Range Madhusudan Sharma, CPS Sundar Singh Thakur, DC Kullu Ashutosh Garg, SP Kullu Sakshi Verma have to rushed Manikaran last night. The district administration has held a meeting with the Gurudwara management and local panchayat representatives regarding this matter. SP Sakshi Verma told that the situation is completely under control. Police have registered a case against unknown people. The atmosphere in the valley is completely calm. Tourists could come to the valley. A video of lawlessness hooligan creating rucks became viral which also shows the broken window pane of parking vehicle but authenticity of Video could not confirmed by the police.
