Admissions Open for Class 8 at National Indian Military College: Apply by March 31
The National Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun has invited applications for admission to Class 8 for the January 2026 session. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications by March 31, 2025. The entrance exam is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at designated centers across the country.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Vinay Kumar informed that both boys and girls are eligible to apply. Applicants must be between 11.5 and 13 years old as of January 1, 2026. This means the candidate’s date of birth should fall between January 2, 2013, and July 1, 2014.
The written entrance test will comprise 400 marks, with sections as follows:
English: 125 marks
Mathematics: 200 marks
General Knowledge: 75 marks
Candidates who pass the written test will be called for a 50-mark interview, with the date to be announced later.
Application Process and Documents Required:
Candidates can obtain the application form, prospectus, and previous years’ question papers by paying online on the RIMC website (www.rimc.gov.in) or through a bank draft addressed to the “Commandant, National Indian Military College, Dehradun.” Completed applications must be sent via speed post and must include:
Two copies of the completed application form
Birth certificate
Domicile certificate
Caste certificate (for SC/ST candidates)
School verification certificate from the principal confirming the candidate is studying in the current class
Aadhaar card photocopy
Two recent passport-sized photographs
It is mandatory for SC/ST candidates to submit a verified copy of their caste certificate. Only official application forms issued by RIMC will be accepted; photocopies or forms available in the market will not be considered valid.
