Adani cement & Truckers failed to resolved deadlock, Cement plant standoff to be resolve with in four days : Sukhu

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today show optimism, on the standoff of Abuja and ACC cement ( Adani cement ) plants, stop the cement production for last 54 days, expressing hope that industrial dispute to be resolved amicably within four days. Mr Sukhu was interacting with media persons at Una today. He said that both the parties showed their keenness to resolve the issue amicably as they agreed to come on the talk table for the first time. I hope that after the talk the cement plants will start rolling normally soon. He said that Adani Cement Plants and Truck transporters are going to hold a financial round of talk to negotiate on the prevailing stand off. He said that Adani Cement Plants are not being probed by the state government about their bank accounts and turnover, however the state government is standing with the interest of Truckers unions who are being affected by the unilateral action of the Adani Cement plants after closure of production. The state government is interested to ensure that truck operators who are affected during the prolonged stand off should no be happened and government succeed to brought the both parties on the talk table in which his government played constructive roll. He said that Government is not investigating agency but it have duty to cater the interest of stakeholder for which government could act sternly if required. Mr Sukhvinder Singh Sukho took jibs on the opposition BJP to launch statewide campaign against his government he said that it is duty of opposition to oppose the ruling government and perhaps they were doing it for sake of their duty.   Mr Sukhu said that there should not be any confusion on the Old Pension Scheme as Council of Minister decision on restoration of OPS is final however the left out formalities of fixing SOPs for the purpose is administrative works being done . Since the state government has taken decision to restore the OPS no one would go without Old pension who have retired after this decision of cabinet. He said that employees are not being cheated like previous BJP rule as they as it decided to implement the recommendation of 6th pay commission and announced to increase the DA to state employees but did not released the pending arrears before demitting the office of government. 

Today, the talks between truck operators and Adani management or Barmana Cement factory of district Bilaspur didn’t yield any outcome to resolve the deadlock. According to truckers negotiation on the freight charges held for three hours.  On behalf of the Adani management, a proposal was submitted  to pay Rs 8.50 per kilometer per ton freight to the operators however  operators offered  Rs 10. 20 per km Freight rates.  The ACC cement factory in Barmana currently hiring fleet of 3,000 double axle  trucks. Entire fleet are on halt  standing without work for more than 54 days at different places in Barmana and district Bilaspur.  President of Bilaspur Truck Operators Union, Rakesh Thakur said that the talks have failed.  Adani management did not accepted the freight charges offered by the operators . He said that  at the current freight charges they were already facing losses however given the new proposal it is not feasible to work at Adani’s new proposed rates.  Many other points were also discussed with the Adani management and consensus has been reached on some of them.  In today’s talks, 21 members went to the meeting for talks on behalf of the operators.  Now operators have convened a general house to chalk out next strategy. On the other hand, the talks of the operators and  officials of Adani Management Darlaghat  have been convened for tomorrow. Now talk would be held with the operators regarding freight charges. There are eight nine-truck unions in Darlaghat and representatives of all these would join the talks with Adani tomorrow. However there is little possibility of talks would be fruitful.
