ABVP demands speed up of the construction work of Central University of Himachal

It is a matter of great shame for Himachal Pradesh that Himachal Pradesh Central University has not been constructed till date. The absence of a permanent campus of the Central University from the year 2009 till the present time raises a question mark for the Government of Himachal Pradesh and the Central Government. Students from Himachal Pradesh as well as other states have to face many problems in the university ranging from basic to non-availability of permanent campus. In the coming time, the team of NAAC is also going to visit the Central University, but the condition of the Central University running in four campuses is very pathetic.

State Minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Himachal Pradesh, Akash Negi told that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has been agitating since the year 2009 for the construction of Central University. From the year 2020, ABVP accelerated its movements regarding basic facilities and construction of permanent campus, due to which in the year 2021, 44-day indefinite strike by the Central University unit and 37-day successive hunger strike were also done in the premises of the Central University. . Regarding the demands of these basic facilities and construction work, many memorandums were also given to the state and central ministers, due to which the students studying there have got the basic facilities but the construction work of the permanent campus again remained hanging.

Recently last month, the construction work of Central University has started in Dehra, but still a lot of relaxation is being given in that work. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad demands the same from the state and central government that the construction work of the Central University should be done at a fast pace so that the problems faced by the students can be resolved as soon as possible.
