AAPwill not tolerate playing with the future of youth, the protest will continue in a democratic way: Surjit Thakur
State President of Aam Aadmi Party Surjit Thakur has issued a statement today targeting BJP regarding Agneepath scheme in army recruitment. The Mann government has passed a resolution in the assembly against the Agneepath scheme. The Punjab government is the first government to pass a resolution in the assembly opposing the Agneepath scheme. In a statement issued to the media, Aam Aadmi Party’s state president Surjit Thakur said that the passing of the resolution opposing the Agneepath scheme shows that the Punjab government is sensitive to the future of the youth. Surjit Thakur said that one more where the central government has made the army’s permanent job contractual. On the other hand, the Punjab government has confirmed more than 36 thousand contractual employees.
The youth of Himachal give the first priority to the army for their jobs, the people of Himachal are considered to be patriots. This is why the land of Himachal is called Virbhumi.
Aam Aadmi Party President Surjit Thakur said that the youth of Himachal Pradesh stand in the front line to join the service to protect the country. At present, thousands of youth of the state are protecting the country by staying in the army. At present, more than 51 thousand youths of Virbhumi Himachal are deployed in the army on the borders to protect the country. Out of which 46960 youth are serving in the Army, 2340 in the Air Force and 2168 in the Navy. At the same time, more than 50 thousand youth are employed in the Para Military Force. The number of ex-servicemen in Himachal Pradesh is more than 1 lakh 22 thousand. The youth of Himachal do not lag behind even in sacrificing their lives while protecting the country. More than 1600 youths of Himachal Pradesh have sacrificed their lives while protecting the country. Seeing this number, it can be guessed that the youth of Himachal Pradesh have the spirit of service to the country, for which they are always ahead. But the central government has cheated the youth of the state by bringing the Agneepath scheme of army recruitment. The people of Himachal are considered to be patriots. That is why the land of Himachal is called Virbhumi.
*Chief Minister Jairam should learn from Punjab government, oppose Agneepath scheme*
State President of Aam Aadmi Party Surjit Thakur said that the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, popularly known as Virbhoomi, should take a lesson from the Punjab Government and oppose the Agneepath scheme by passing a resolution in the Vidhan Sabha. Chief Minister Jai Ram should take inspiration from the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab that for the sake of the youth of the state, the Punjab government has passed a resolution letter against the Agniveer scheme. The youth of Himachal give first priority to the army for their jobs. Keeping in mind the future of thousands of youth of the state, Jairam government should have first opposed the Agniveer scheme. So that the army’s job which has become contractual can be made permanent. We are protesting in a different way and we have also passed a resolution in the assembly. Jairam Sarkar should learn from the neighboring state of Punjab, the Chief Minister there should learn from Bhagwant Mann how the youth are given jobs.
