A total of 1414 blood units were collected in 15 blood donation camps: BJP
The Bharatiya Janata Party, Himachal Pradesh, organized blood donation camps across the state as part of the Seva Pakhwada (service fortnight). A total of 1,414 blood units were collected at 15 blood donation camps held in 15 districts of the state on September 17th. Large numbers of youth, led by district youth wing presidents and BJP leaders, enthusiastically participated in these camps, donating blood and serving humanity.
BJP State General Secretary Sanjeev Katwal stated that through the Seva Pakhwada, the BJP Yuva Morcha is committed to fulfilling its social responsibility and helping patients suffering from blood shortages. He added that this campaign is not only a means of blood collection, but also an effort to awaken the spirit of service among youth. Congratulating all district presidents, workers, and blood donors, Mr. Katwal stated that this Seva Pakhwada will continue until October 2nd, with the goal of collecting as many blood units as possible.
According to the information about the major blood donation camps organized on September 17, in Shimla district, State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal was specially present in which 115 units of blood were collected, similarly in Sundernagar district, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur was present in which 62 units of blood were collected, in Mandi district, Jai Ram Thakur and Kangana Ranaut were present in which 84 units of blood were collected, in Nurpur district, Organization General Secretary Siddharthan and MP Rajiv Bhardwaj were present in which 80 units of blood were collected, in Hamirpur, MP Anurag Thakur and 76 units of blood were collected, in Palampur district, 42 units, in Solan district, 210 units were collected and in Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan was present, 25 units of blood were collected in the district, 22 in Kinnaur district, 75 in Mahasu district, 87 units in Dehra district, 75 in Bilaspur district, 52 in Kangra district, 140 in Sirmaur district and 101 units of blood were collected in Una district.
Apart from this, special blood donation camps were organised in Solan district and Kasauli rural division, in which a total of 168 blood units were collected.
Blood donation camps are being organised in other districts as part of the Seva Pakhwada, with programmes scheduled in Kullu (September 19, Devsadan Kullu) and Lahaul Spiti (September 24, Old School House Keylong).
