A State’s Resolve Against Addiction: Himachal’s Powerful New Web Series “The WHITE Truth” Set to Premiere

In a heartfelt move to protect its youth and communities, the Himachal Pradesh Gyan Vigyan Samiti is launching a poignant and powerful web series, “The WHITE Truth,” focusing on the devastating impact of drug abuse. The series is set to premiere on a day of great significance for the state.

Marking Himachal Pradesh’s Statehood Day, the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will formally launch the series on January 25th. The very first episode will be released to the public immediately afterward, setting the tone for a crucial conversation across the state.

This first season is a carefully crafted narrative of 7 episodes, with new installments arriving every fortnight, allowing for reflection and community dialogue on this pressing issue.

“The fight against drugs is a fight for our future, for our children,” expressed Satyavan Pundir, State Secretary of the Samiti, his voice filled with conviction. “While the pure white snow from our mountains is a blessing, a different, deadly ‘white’—the poison of drugs—is threatening to steal that future. ‘The WHITE Truth’ is more than a show; it’s a mirror to reality and a tool for awakening.”

Pundir extended deep gratitude to the countless individuals, experts, and community members who contributed their stories and support to bring this project to life. “This series is born from a collective concern, a shared hope for a healthier Himachal,” he said.

In a direct and personal appeal to the people of the state, Pundir urged everyone to join this collective mission. “We invite every citizen, every family, every institution to watch, to share, and to talk about these episodes. True change starts with awareness and empathy.”

To ensure the message reaches every corner of Himachal and beyond, the series will be freely available on popular platforms YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram on the channel ‘Gyan Vigyan Stream’. The Samiti is also reaching out to schools, colleges, community groups, religious organizations, and local clubs, encouraging them to host screenings and discussions.

“Let’s come together, not just as an organization, but as a community of concerned brothers and sisters,” Pundir concluded. “Subscribe to the channel, share the episodes with someone you care about, and let’s build a supportive network. A drug-free Himachal is not just a slogan; it’s a promise we must make to our coming generations.”
