A boy from St Edwards School Shimla conquered the world in the field of Python coding

Out of 2.15 million students worldwide, Jai Jeet Anand, a student of St. Edward’s School, Shimla, Class VIII C won the ICode Global Hackathon 2023 in the Python Beginner category (excluding China). ICode is a global organization operating in many countries. The fierce fight started in the month of April 2023. After clearing 14 weeks of mind-boggling levels, he entered India Nationals, cleared it, and then finally won the toughest Global Finals competing with 780 global finalists from various countries like the USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Ghana, New Zealand, UAE, etc. held on 30 th September 2023.
Discipline, determination, dedication, focus, motivation, and passion for coding resulted in this wonderful achievement.

His Shooting Coach Sh. Ravinder ji at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Shimla and class teacher Ms. Rashmi at St. Edwards’s School Shimla are behind his wonderful success. Ravinderji taught him lessons of discipline, dedication, and sharp focus during his shooting practice which he applied during his training and Ms. Rashmi motivated and supported him continuously for about six months of the hackathon. They both helped him when he found himself stuck in difficult problems and always told him – “Winners always fight and win. And you are a winner”. And finally, he emerged as a winner.
His other passions are shooting, robotics western vocals, and reading storybooks.
