2500 children were given Albendazole medicine in Junga tehsil : Dr Manoj
On the occasion of National Deworming Day, about 2500 children were given Albendazole medicine in various educational institutions and Anganwadi centers of Junga tehsil. Medical Officer of Civil Hospital Junga, Dr. Manoj Verma said that in Junga and Bhadech, 524 children were given Albendazole and 138 children were given Vitamin A medicine.
Dr. Ishan Kaushal, Medical Officer of Primary Health Center Trahai, said that 1780 children were given the anti-worm medicine Albendazole in Trahai, Wablu and Janedghat. He said that 600 children were given the anti-worm medicine Albendazole in Wablu, 750 in Janedghat and 510 children were given the medicine Albendazole in ten schools and Anganwadi centers of Peeran Panchayat.
Dr. Ishan said that due to worms in the stomach, children become victims of anemia, which hinders physical and mental development of children. Due to which children always remain tired. On this occasion, he advised the children to take a balanced diet and do yoga and exercise to make the body healthy and disease free.
Teachers, Asha workers and Anganwadi workers played an active role in making this program successful. On this occasion, parents were also informed about deworming and the symptoms and prevention of diseases caused by dirt and contaminated water during the rainy season.
