21 planning & 15 spl areas excludes along 4-lane, national & state highways : CoMs

The council of Ministers today decided to excludes the 21 planning and 15 special areas from the purview of Town and country planning on the recommendations of cabinet sub committee. In the CoMs meeting presided over by the Chief Minister Jia Ram Thakur decided to accept the recommendations of a Cabinet Sub Committee constituted under the Chairmanship of Jal Shakti Minister Mohinder Singh Thakur for exclusion of some areas from the purview of H.P. Town and Country Planning Act, 1977. The Sub Committee recommended exclusion of area beyond 50 meters from the edge of control width on either side of  four lane highways, 30 meters from the edge of control width on either side of National Highways and 10 meters from the edge of control width on either side of State Highways or  Major District Roads. The proposed exclusion is likely to provide benefit and long desired relief to inhabitants of 21 Planning Areas and 15 Special Areas throughout the State. The CoMs also decided to open and upgrade about half dozen of new Sub Tehsil in the state and two dozens of Primary, Middle, high schools and Senior secondary schools and creating various posts of different categories to facilitate the people of the area. Among the new sub Tehsil created are Thaili Chakti under Nankhari , Jeori under Rampur Tehsil of Shimla district and Bharari in Bilaspur district, at Daulatpur Chowk in Ghanari tehsil of Una district and Sub Tehsil Kuthad (Krishangarh) in Solan district  upgraded to Tehsil. One post each of Psychiatric Social Worker in five Medical Colleges in the State viz. IGMC Shimla, Dr. RPGMC Kangra at Tanda, Dr. YSPGMC, Nahan, Dr. RKGMC Hamirpur and SLBSGMC at Ner Chowk in Mandi district on contract basis. Coms also decided to open three  new Government Degree Colleges at Sataun in Sirmaur district,  Swarghat in Bilaspur district and Pandoh in Mandi district and a Government Sanskrit College at Jagatsukh (Manali) in Kullu district. It also decided to rename Government High School, Basturi-II in Kullu district as Shaheed Jaipal Government High School Basturi-II as a mark of respect to the martyr. Cabinet also decided to open new Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Churah in Churah Vidhan Sabha area of Chamba district alongwith creation and filling up of 17 posts of different categories.

The Cabinet gave its approval to convert National Highway Sub Division Katrain in Kullu district to Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) Sub Division Babeli.  

It also decided to convert National Highway Sub Division Pandoh in Mandi district to Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department  (Buildings and Roads) Sub Division Pandoh.

The Cabinet gave its approval to establish Civil Judge Court at Bhoranj in Hamirpur district alongwith creation and filling up of 13 posts.
