2.9 magnitude earthquake shock Mandi district

A 2.9 magnitude earthquake experienced in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh early today, the Indian Meteorological Department said.
The spokesperson of IMD said that Mandi district of Himachal jolted by 2.9 magnitude earthquake  at 0313 hrs on Monday no loss to life and property reported due to the impact of earthquake sofar.
The epicentre of earthquake was measured at the Latitude of 32. 27 degree North and Longitude of 77.4 degree East and 11 kilometer deep in the hills of Mandi district.

Five district of Himachal Pradesh fall in highly seismic prone schedule IV and V areas  of the earthquake.
It worthwhile to mention that 4.4 Magnitude earth quake had also occurred on Nov 9, 2021 in Kinnuar district of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday.
