1552 incidences of suicide during Covid in Himachal

HP Chief MInister, Jai Ram Thakur informed the  state assembly today that the state recorded around 1,552 incidents of sucide and 144  attempts to suicide  during the Covid pandemic in 13 police district of this hill state.While replying to a question during the question hours  raised by Rohit Thakur of Congress in the house on Saturday, he said that since Mar 1, 2020 to Feb 1, 2022 as many as 144 cases were lodged under section 306 of IPC and 1552 cases under sec 174 of CrPC. CM said that 31 case under registered under sec 306 of IPC in Kangra and 21 and 15 in Mandi and Shimla district.Similarly 339 cases were registered under Sec 174 of CrPc in Kangra , 199 in Mandi , 150 in Shimla and 148 in Una and 126 in Sirmaur districts.
