151 Aadhar cards were made in the camp organized in Peeran
The camp organized by the Postal Department for making Aadhar cards in Gram Panchayat Peeran concluded last evening. A total of 151 Aadhar cards were made in this camp, out of which 21 were new and the rest were updated. Postal Department’s Aadhar card operator Rajesh Sharma said that this camp was organized only for a day, but due to lack of electricity, as per the orders of the Superintendent Post Office, the duration of this camp was extended for three days so that Aadhar cards of all the people who came to the camp could be made.
Rajesh Sharma said that in this camp 21 new Aadhar cards were made for newborn babies while 30 Aadhar cards were updated for local school children. He said that people from far flung areas of Peeran Panchayat took advantage of this camp, otherwise people of this area had to go to Shimla or Solan to make Aadhar cards, which resulted in loss of their time and money. He said that since some people who came to the camp did not have the necessary documents, their Aadhar cards will be made in the next camp.
Pradhan Kiran expressed her gratitude to the Superintendent Post Office Division Solan for extending this camp for three days. She said that by organizing the camp, the people of the Panchayat have got the facility of making Aadhar card at their doorstep.
Branch Post Office Peeran Hans Raj Verma said that in the near future also the Superintendent Post Office Solan will be requested to organize such camps so that those who have missed making their Aadhar Card can also get an opportunity to make it at their doorstep.
