What is the Ayurvedic significance of these nine medicines known as the nine goddesses
In Indian culture, astrology holds a lot of importance since ancient times. On each day of Navratri, nine different avatars of Goddess Durga are worshipped. During this time, when the devotees recite the Saptashati, it is also told about the goddess Kavach by Shri Brahma ji.

Shailputri: On the first day of Navratri, Goddess Shailputri is worshipped. In Ayurveda, the plant is known as Haritaki. It acts as a medicine for many diseases. There are seven types: Amrita, Pathya, Haritika, Chetaki, Hemvati, Kayastha, Shreyasi.
Brahmacharini: On the second day Navratri, Brahmacharini is worshipped. The name of the famous medicine is Brahmi. Brahmi has many qualities like it makes your memory strong and also increases your life span. With this, all kinds of blood disorders present in your body are removed and your voice also becomes sweet, due to which it is also given the analogy of Mata Saraswati. It is known by different names in different parts of India.
Chandraghanta: On the third day of Navratri, Goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped. This is very beneficial for those who want to lose weight. This Ayurvedic medicine increases your strength.
Kushmanda: On the fourth day of Navratri, Goddess Kushmanda is worshipped. It is a very effective ayurvedic medicine that cleanses your stomach and removes mental diseases. Using this the famous sweet of Agra Petha is prepared.
Skandamata: Skandamata is worshipped on the fifth day of Navratri puja. It is believed that the ayurvedic medicine alsi is the form of Skandamata. Flaxseeds maintain the balance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas in your body. Its nature is warm and it is nutritious. It relieves pain and inflammation of any kind.
Katyani: On the sixth day of Navratri, Goddess Katyayani is worshipped. This medicine works to keep the cough and bile defects balanced in your body as well as this medicine is very effective in any disease related to the throat.
Kalaratri: On the seventh day of Navratri, Goddess Kalaratri is worshipped. By the use of this medicine all the disorders of mind and brain are removed.
Maha Gauri: On the eighth day of Navratri Goddess Mahagauri is worshipped. Consumption of basil gives you relief from heart diseases. Tulsi works as an elixir in problems like cold and cough. It is also considered good for your liver.
Siddhidatri: On the ninth day of Navratri, Goddess Siddhidatri is worshiped in the form of Maa Durga. Pomegranate is very beneficial for women’s health. Its regular consumption increases your intelligence and wisdom.
