Shimla’s Skies Are About to Come Alive : Paragliding Festival in Junga from 25 October
Get ready for an adrenaline-packed celebration in the hills — the third edition of the Paragliding Flying Festival & Hospitality Expo 2025 is landing in Junga, Shimla from October 25 to 28, and it’s going to be spectacular.
Imagine this: 15 international and 70 Indian paragliders soaring through the crisp mountain air, painting the sky with color and thrill. The festival kicks off with a grand opening by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and on October 26, none other than wrestling legend The Great Khali will join as the chief guest.
But it’s not just about flying high — it’s also about celebrating Himachal’s rich culture. Visitors can explore exhibitions featuring local crafts, traditional foods, and cultural performances that promise to be just as vibrant as the paragliders above. And yes, there’s serious competition too: the Pre-Paragliding Accuracy World Cup and Pre-Asian League Championship will be held during the festival.
🏆 Winners won’t just take home glory — they’ll be honored with cash prizes as well.
Festival Director Arun Rawat shared that this event has been a key initiative to promote adventure sports and tourism in Himachal Pradesh. With participants from seven countries, it’s truly an international affair. And safety? Top priority. Teams from SDRF and medical professionals will be on standby, and renowned judges will be scoring the competition.
Junga, with its perfect flying conditions and scenic beauty, is quickly becoming a hotspot for paragliding enthusiasts. A five-minute flight here offers breathtaking views — and with this festival, it’s also offering unforgettable memories.
