Himachal’s Everester Amit Negi conquers World’s deadliest Annapurna  peak

Everster and Civilian mountaineer Amit Negi of Himachal Pradesh conquered Annapurna 1 (8091 m) on 16 April 2023, Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority informed here today.

The spokesperson of HPSDMA Mr. Sudesh Mokta said that after successfully scaling the world’s deadliest mountain Annapurna, Amit Negi has become the first young civilian from Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district to do so.

 Earlier, Amit Negi also hoisted the tricolor on The Everest summit (8848.86m) in 2021 and Kanchenjunga (8,586m) in 2022. With these successes by Mr. Negi along with Kinnauri Topi (Crown of Kinnaur) Himachal is proud of him

 With this feat, he has become the first climber from India to win the 2023 summit season.

  Everester Amit Negi is going on the next expedition in the coming few days after achieving success in climbing Annapurna mountain.

 Annapurna, the world’s tenth highest peak, is called the world’s most dangerous expedition because on average 30 people die out of 100 people who climb this mountain compare tt the same time, the death toll in climbing Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain peak, is 13 percent.
