NABARD to provide Rs 609.54 Cr loans for 113 Himachal Project

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development approved 113 projects amounting to Rs.609.54 crores under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF). In a press release issued here today by the NABARD) said that it would provide concessional loans to the State 

Governments for development of basic infrastructure. In this respect, during FY 2022-23. Spokesperson of NABARD said that bank has sanctioned 113 projects .These include 26 Drinking Water Supply projects, 30 Minor Irrigation projects, 40 Rural Roads & 04Bridges and 13 Sewerage projects. 

An amount of Rs.200.78 crores has been sanctioned towards 40 Rural Roads & four Bridges. This shall lead to development of 103.65 km new roads and improvement/ upgradation of  132.89 km roads. 

An amount of Rs.121.75 crores has been sanctioned towards 13 Sewerage scheme projects. .These projects shall benefit a population of 65000 people. These 13 Sewerage schemes will be the first such schemes sanctioned under RIDF in the state. 

An amount of Rs.118.87 crores has been sanctioned towards 26 Rural Drinking Water Supply Schemes. These projects shall provide tapped drinking water supply to 2.94 lakh people.An amount of Rs.168.14 crores has been sanctioned towards 30 Minor Irrigation projects which shall provide benefits of assured irrigation to 4541.85 Hectares of agricultural land.
