Crashing of apple market in Himachal owing to Government blessing & increasing monopoly of big corporate

The crashing of apple market in the peak season is owing to governments blessing to big corporate houses and their increasing monopoly in the state.
This was stated by Himachal Pradesh Kisan Sabha state and state CPI(M) secretary Dr Onkar Shad and President of HKS Dr Kuldeep SIngh Tanwar in a press statement issued here today.  
Showing concern over increasing trouble of apple growers due to sudden slump in the  apple  and vegetable market  Kisan Sabha leader said that center and state Government remained fail to protect the interest of apple growers and farmers moreover ruling govt standing with the big corporate houses today is allowing them to control the market.
” The price fixation made by the Adani Group of high grade or quality 80 to 100 per cent color apple is being buy from farmer at the rate of  Rs 72 per kilogram cutting down by 20 per cent as was Rs 85 per kg price last year. ” both the leader said.
“The fixation of price also slushed the apple markets of low grades apples, drastically in the state forcing the farmers to stop the picking and plucking as the current pricing was not compatible enough keeping increasing cost of apple inputs and packaging and other expenditure.” the duo said.
Left farmers leaders pointed out that  ” Vis- a-vis to distress peasants , governments are standing with big corporate houses how it is cutting down the agriculture subsidies to farmer increasing their input costs. 
” The farmers are now in double trap of falling the prices of crops and paying high costs of pesticides and other inputs ” they said. 
The livelihood of apple growers are in danger as production cost have increased many fold moreover crop is not fetching profitable prices, they argued that apple growers are suffering due to failure of apple economy as government allowed corporate house to control  market and  creating the artificial crisis .
The essential items are beyond the reach of commoner due to inflation moreover 5000 Crore apple economy and farmers are in deep crisis  for sake of big corporates food chains and retailers, they alleged.
They demanded that on the analogy of Jammu and Kashmir Market Intervention Scheme(MIS) should be started to help the distressed and affected apple growers. 
The state Govt should procure the A-grade apple under MIS at the rate of Rs 60 . B and C at the rate of Rs 44 and Rs 24 per kg through HPMC , HIMFED and other agriculture and marketing agencies, Farmer leader added.
They said that Government should take strict action in violation of APMC laws and permission or trading of apple should be allowed to registered and licensed or commission agents in the state  Dr Tanwar appealed the apple growers and farmers to joined the Syunkat Kisas Manch(SKM) convention to beheld   on August 30 at Shimla to choke out the action plan for the market crises.
