UHF Nauni Invites Fresh Applications for UG Special Round of Counselling Apply by September 29; Counselling on October 3
Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni, has invited fresh applications for a special round of counselling for admission to various Undergraduate Degree Programmes against Self-Financing seats for the Academic Session 2026–27.
The special round is being conducted following the successful completion of three rounds of counselling by the University. The University has also made additional seats available in various programmes in response to requests from candidates who could not apply during the earlier admission process.
At the College of Horticulture, Nauni, seats are available in BSc (Hons) Horticulture, BSc Agri (Hons) Natural Farming, B Tech (Food Technology), B Tech Biotechnology and BSc (Hons) Agribusiness Management. The College of Forestry, Nauni has seats available in BSc (Hons) Forestry. At the College of Horticulture and Forestry, Thunag at Gohar, Mandi, seats are available in BSc (Hons) Horticulture. At the College of Horticulture and Forestry, Neri, Hamirpur, seats are available in BSc (Hons) Horticulture, BSc (Hons) Forestry, B Tech (Food Technology) and B Tech Biotechnology.
All Self-Financing seats are open at the national level. Candidates seeking admission must have secured a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination, with relaxation to 45 per cent for SC/ST, Persons with Disabilities and orphaned children. For determining merit, marks obtained in English along with any three subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, Agricultural Physics, Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Biology and Agriculture will be considered. Admission under the special round will be made strictly on the basis of merit, availability of seats and fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria.
Candidates are required to submit the online application form through the University admission portal. Those appearing for counselling for Self-Financing seats for the first time will also be required to pay the prescribed counselling fee and bring the payment receipt at the time of counselling. The last date for submitting fresh online applications is September 29, 2026, while the special round of counselling will be held on October 3, 2026, at the Dr LS Negi Auditorium, UHF Nauni main campus.
Candidates appearing for counselling must bring their original documents along with self-attested copies, including the 10th Certificate, 10+2 Detailed Marks Certificate, Character Certificate from the last attended school/institution, proof of counselling fee payment and other applicable certificates, along with their ABC/APAAR ID.
The University has advised candidates to carefully go through the Undergraduate Prospectus and subsequent amendments before applying. Candidates are also advised to regularly check the University website for official updates. Attendance at the counselling venue and appearance before the Counselling Committee are mandatory for eligible candidates.
