Emergency Medical Services for Public at Junga Battalion: Bhupendra Negi

The 1st Himachal Pradesh Armed Police Battalion, Junga, has taken another significant initiative toward public service. A 12-bed Emergency Special Medical Care Unit was inaugurated on the battalion premises by Mrs. Malti Negi, a veteran senior citizen. Additionally, the unit will feature a two-bed dedicated ward. This new medical unit will accommodate four beds for women and eight for men. This will provide the battalion’s officers and personnel with access to indoor and emergency medical care as needed within the premises.
Commander Bhupendra Singh Negi stated that the new medical facility will not be limited to the battalion alone. If needed, local residents of the Junga area and those from surrounding panchayats will also benefit. Efforts will be made to provide immediate medical assistance to the general public in case of accidents, disasters, or other emergencies, including free ambulance and medical facilities.
He said that timely medical assistance is crucial in emergencies. This battalion facility will not only be helpful to local residents but will also help alleviate the pressure on Civil Hospital Junga. He stated that the Himachal Pradesh Police is committed to serving the public and the battalion will continue to play an active role in public welfare activities in the future.
It is worth noting that prior to the establishment of this unit, indoor medical facilities were not available for personnel on the battalion campus. Now, patients will be able to receive treatment and monitoring as needed within the campus itself.
The local people appreciated this initiative of the battalion and called it a useful and public welfare step for the Junga area.
On this occasion, local Panchayat representatives, members of the Chamber of Commerce, forensic laboratory experts, police officers and employees and battalion doctors were present.
